Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for your data

Waveform Radio is the Operator of the Site and is responsible for deciding why and how your personal data is used (the “controller” of that data).

Radiocast Sites provides the hosting service and processes data only on the Operator’s behalf and on the Operator’s instructions in order to run the Site. Radiocast Sites is not the Operator of the Site and does not use visitors’ data from the Site for its own purposes beyond operating, securing and supporting the hosting service.

2. Information we collect

Depending on what you use on the Site, we collect:

• Account details you give us when you join: your display name, email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash), plus an optional profile bio and picture.
• Messages you send through contact forms: your name, email address and message.
• Song requests and dedications you submit, with the name you give.
• Technical data our servers receive with every request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you ask for. It is used to deliver the Site, prevent abuse and keep it secure.
• A keyed, non-reversible hash of your network address, so moderators can block abuse without seeing the address itself.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

• Deliver the Site and the radio stream.
• Run accounts, comments, chat and forms you choose to use.
• Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Protect the Site against spam, abuse and security threats.
• Respond to your messages.

4. Cookies and similar technology

• A sign-in cookie, set only when you sign in, that keeps you signed in on this Site. It is strictly necessary for accounts and is not used for tracking.
• Visitor statistics are collected without cookies. They use a daily-rotating salted hash instead of your IP address and cannot be used to follow you across days or sites.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only with service providers that help run the Site — Radiocast Sites (hosting), Cloudflare (network delivery and security), and the radio platform that streams the station’s audio — and where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Messages, comments and chat history may be removed by moderators at any time, and chat history is limited to a recent window.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. You can edit or delete your account from the “My account” page. To make a request, contact the Operator using the details below.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13. Please do not create an account or submit personal data if you are under 13.

9. Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes and traffic to the Site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.

11. Radiocast Sites policies

Radiocast Sites handles the technical data needed to host and secure the Site under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, linked below. Those documents describe the hosting service; this policy describes how the Operator uses your data.

• Radiocast Sites Privacy Policy
• Radiocast Sites Terms of Service

12. Contact

Questions about this document can be sent to the Operator at [email protected].

Radiocast Sites does not handle enquiries, complaints or requests on the Operator’s behalf. Please contact the Operator directly.
